HANNAH EMILE is an eponymous line of minimalist, artisanal handbags and accessories by Hannah Tatar. Hailing from Cleveland (a secretly cool Midwestern city), she currently lives and works in San Francisco. All HANNAH EMILE bags are designed and handmade by Hannah, in a Mission District studio shared with her artist grandmother.

HANNAH EMILE works exclusively with food industry byproduct hides, locally sourced whenever possible. By hand cutting pattern pieces, every bag incorporates the beautiful natural variations of the hides, while minimizing wasted yardage.

Inspired by the vintage bags found during a childhood spent thrifting, HANNAH EMILE celebrates heartfelt, high quality leather goods that are both fashionable and functional enough to withstand the test of time.

Leather is a biodegradable material; however, leather bags will last for decades with proper care. HANNAH EMILE encourages you to use and love your bag in this spirit.
