POC Nail Polish
People of Color Chokecherry nail polish.
Chokecherry can be a large shrub or small tree (typically growing 20-30 feet tall) that are indigenous to most of Canada, the United States, and northern Mexico. The trees produce creamy white small flowers which later become the dark red fruit, known as chokecherries.
Native Americans used the bark extract as a cure for diarrhea. The fruit was used to make jams, jellies, syrups, and more. Chokecherry tea was also used to treat colds, tuberculosis and ulcers. Learn more about this fascinating plant here.
